Our school

Yeronga State High School is located in Brisbane's inner south side. At the beginning of 2017 we had around 700 students.  Staff, students and parents take a great deal of pride in our school community and we consistently achieve outstanding results in academic, sporting and cultural pursuits.

Yeronga SHS is on the train line, 4 kms from the CBD. Set on 40 glorious acres, our students have plenty of space to spread out and play.
Our state-of-the-art Sports Centre houses a commercial gymnasium which staff and students take great delight in accessing.

One of only two lucky public schools in the state, Yeronga SHS has a 180 seat auditorium where our arts students are able to shine day or night.

Always a hive of activity, the central courtyard is a great meeting place for the whole school community to come together. During the day it is the place where hotly contested basketball games are played out.

Come see for yourself what makes Yeronga SHS the
"Best School in the   UNIVERSE!!"
We hold Y Tours (information sessions) at least twice each term, where students give you a guided tour of the school and answer any questions you might have about life as a student at Yeronga SHS. You have the opportunity to meet and hear from key personnel within the school, as well as share morning tea with the school leadership team. Y Tours start at 9.00am and finish at 10.30am.
