As part of the Advanced Manufacturing Extension program students learn to design, prototype and manufacture a camper trailer. Yeronga SHS is one of the 38 Gateway to Industry – Advanced Manufacturing Schools in the state. Through this partnership, students will have the opportunity to visit and work with some of Queensland's leading manufacturers who have adopted Industry 4.0 practices and advanced manufacturing technologies. One of our partners for this project is StyroMAX who specialise in designing and manufacturing fibreglass composite insulated panels for the recreational vehicles (RV) industry. The judges decided on our top three RV designs – Luca Sadler in Year 9, Kate Musgrave in Year 8 and Hayden Cahill in Year 7.
