The Yeronga SHS Swimming Carnival will be held on Friday 11 February. Due to COVID-19 the event will be for competitors only. Students who are wanting to compete on the day are required to nominate in O Block staffroom (Sport Centre) once they return to school on Monday 7 February. The deadline for nominations is Wednesday 9 February at 2:45pm.
The carnival will be a half day event commencing at first break. All students will have normal classes for period 1 & 2. Competitors will then walk to the Yeronga Park pool under the supervision of teaching staff for the remainder of the day. Normal classes will continue for all non-competitors.
When: Week 3 Friday 11 February (First Break – 2:45pm)
Where: Yeronga Park Pool (students walk to the venue under the supervision of teaching staff)
Who: Competitive Swimmers Only (normal school day for non-competitors)
What to bring: Wear sports uniform, togs, towel, swimming equipment, hat, sunscreen
