Yeronga State High School has a long and proud history of excelling in sporting pursuits. From national cross country runners to swimmers, to Metropolitan champions, we enjoy our sport.
Junior secondary and Senior secondary students are able to participate in district gala days in a variety of sports.
Within our school we have three sporting houses: Avoca, Kadumba, and Shottery. Students compete against other houses in a variety of sporting events including cross country running and swimming.

Interschool Sport - West Brisbane Sport Association
As part of the Interschool Sport program, Yeronga State High School competes in the West Brisbane Sports Association which provides students with a competitive sporting opportunity in a range of sports. The schools within the West Brisbane Sports Association includes; Kenmore SHS, Indooroopilly SHS, Centenary SHS, Corinda SHS and QASMT. The winning school from the gala day will go through to represent West Brisbane Association in the Met Finals.

Eastern Taipans District School Sport
Metropolitan West School Sport
The Eastern Taipan district is one of the districts within the Metropolitan West Region. The Metropolitan West School Sport provides students with the opportunity to be selected in regional representative teams capable of competing at a state level. Regional trials are conducted in the following sports for 10-19 year olds.
