Yeronga State High School is a smaller school with just over 700 students with plenty of space for students and staff to connect in a dynamic learning environment on 60 acres of land. Within short walking distance to the trainline and main road delivering range of bus services to site, it is the perfect inner-city school if you are seeking a more sustainable way to work. Yeronga is only 5 kms from Brisbane City and is easily accessible from both the northside and southside of Brisbane. While car parking can be difficult in and around schools, we offer ample car parking that is available for staff on site.

Job Opportunity - A02 Admin Officer - Student Services


EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

A02 - Administration Officer

 

Vacancy: Temporary A02 Administration Officer – Student Services

Hours: 20 hours per week plus ADO (Monday to Friday 8.00am to 12.00pm)

Duration: Starting ASAP until the end of Term 1, with a strong possibility of extension

 

Due to enrolment growth, Yeronga SHS are seeking expressions of interest for a motivated Administration Officer to join our Student Services team!

 

Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:

• Communication with parents and students in regards to attendance

• Assist with attendance reporting

• Provide first aid assistance to students

• Maintain sick bay and first aid supplies

• Maintain first aid register for staff needing first aid bags on excursions

• Data entry in OneSchool regarding contacts with students and parent

• Record leave and late passes, and sick bay attendance in Compass

• Provide assistance to students as required

• Communication with parents and students in regards to attendance

• Maintain filing and filing rooms

• Other duties as directed

 

Suitability Assessment Criteria:

• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent attention to detail

• Compass experience preferred but not essential

• OneSchool experience preferred but not essential

• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel & Word

• Displays confidentiality, tact, reliability and sensitivity to staff and students

• Is able to work collaboratively as part of a team and can build strong working relationships and rapport with a diverse range of people.
