The Resource Centre aims to support teaching and learning both within and outside the classroom. It is a popular place for students as we provide an inclusive and supportive environment for students to learn, communicate, interact and relax. The resource centre is also a place where students execute and complete class work, read, and engage in fun activities like playing chess, ping pong, games and creative art activities.
IT Services are also located in the Resource Centre. Students can come to see the IT Technicians in the Resource Centre before or after school or during lunch breaks for assistance with their devices. Full printing, photocopying and scanning services are available in the resource centre.
The Resource Centre will be open at 8:00am each school day and will remain open until 3:00pm.
YSHS Building and Library Funds
YSHS has recently established both School Building and Library Funds. The benefit of having access to these funds is that parents and community members are able to make tax deductible donations to the school to construct or maintain the school buildings in which your children are educated and also supplement technology and books in our innovative Resource Centre. Your generosity in making a tax deductible donation in support of our school is one of the ways you are able to contribute to the culture of excellence in education at Yeronga State High School.
What Will The Funds Be Used For?
Funds raised will be used for maintenance and upgrade of our school buildings as well as ensuring that cutting edge Library/IT Resources are available for students. Depending on the size of donations received in line with the strategic development of the school, larger building construction projects may be assisted with donated funds.
Tax Deductible Donations
Donations of $2 or more are tax deductible. Please ensure that you keep your receipts and include as deductions in future tax returns.
Where Can You Donate
You are welcome to donate, at any time, at the school office or through our new QKR app.
For further information please contact the school on (07) 3249 1400.
