Resource centre

The Resource Centre supports teaching and learning both within and outside the classroom. It is a popular place for students as we provide an inclusive and supportive environment for students to learn, discover, communicate, interact and relax.

The Resource Centre is home to our:

  • Virtual Reality Hub
  • Tech support team
  • Learning and Teaching Team
  • Homework Club

Virtual Reality (VR) Hub

Our Virtual Reality Hub is an exciting facility that allows our students to engage in fully immersive learning experiences aligned to the Australian Curriculum. Our teachers utilise immersive learning pedagogy to allow our students to explore ideas, stories and concepts up close in ways they have not been able to before now.

Learning and Teaching Hub

Our learning and teaching team are dedicated to supporting the development of teacher capability to ensure that our teachers provide quality learning programs and responsive learning environments for all of our students.

Tech Support

Our dedicated tech support team are based in the Resource Centre. Students can seek assistance for their devices from our IT technicians before or after school and during break times. They can also recharge their device during break times using our self-service charging lockers. Full printing, photocopying and scanning services are also available in the Resource Centre.

YSHS Building and Library Funds

YSHS has recently established both School Building and Library Funds. The benefit of having access to these funds is that parents and community members are able to make tax deductible donations to the school to construct or maintain the school buildings in which your children are educated and also supplement technology and books in our innovative Resource Centre. Your generosity in making a tax deductible donation in support of our school is one of the ways you are able to contribute to the culture of excellence in education at Yeronga State High School.

What Will The Funds Be Used For?

Funds raised will be used for maintenance and upgrade of our school buildings as well as ensuring that cutting edge Library/IT Resources are available for students. Depending on the size of donations received in line with the strategic development of the school, larger building construction projects may be assisted with donated funds.

Tax Deductible Donations

Donations of $2 or more are tax deductible.  Please ensure that you keep your receipts and include as deductions in future tax returns.

Where Can You Donate

You are welcome to donate, at any time, at the school office or through our QKR app.

For further information please contact the school on (07) 3249 1400.
