Yeronga State High School: Commitment to a Supportive and Respectful Environment
At Yeronga State High School, we are dedicated to creating a positive school environment that is inclusive, respectful, and grounded in human rights. Our goal is to ensure all students have meaningful opportunities to engage in quality learning. We believe strong partnerships between parents, carers, students, and staff are essential to achieving this goal.
We welcome and value your feedback - both what we're doing well and where there may be opportunities for improvement.
Feedback and Complaints
Yeronga State High School acknowledges the right of parents, carers, students, and community members to raise concerns or make complaints. Before lodging a complaint, we encourage you to refer to the Enrolment Agreement and relevant school policies. These documents are provided at the time of enrolment and are also available on our school website. School policies can also be found in the student planner.
As part of the enrolment process, all parties sign agreements acknowledging and committing to the school's expectations and policies.
We are committed to addressing complaints professionally and promptly, in line with Queensland Government policy. This policy outlines the expectations for respectful engagement, and includes the following guidelines for complainants:
- Cooperate respectfully—unreasonable or aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated
- Follow any strategies put in place to manage unreasonable conduct
- Understand that if conduct becomes unmanageable, contact may be terminated. However, the complaint will still be reviewed unless deemed frivolous or vexatious
- If contact is terminated, this means the department will no longer engage with the complainant about that particular issue. New or unrelated concerns can still be raised separately
