Yeronga State High School is a proudly a co-educational Independent Public School supporting young adults to develop their academic and social responsibility within a nurturing learning environment. Founded in 1960, Yeronga has a rich history that proudly recognises the importance of tradition to ensures all students have access to Quality Pathways to Success. As a learning community we actively promote high standards with academic and vocational learning to achieve a quality future pathway. Yeronga provides all students with a range of academic, artistic, cultural, sporting and community service experiences to prepare our students for life within and beyond school.
We proudly celebrate cultural inclusion and acknowledge our community thrives on this richness and promotes community engagement with strategic partnerships with tertiary institutions and industry to advance new opportunities for our student community.
We prioritise wellbeing and social inclusion to ensure every learner will succeed in an environment aligned to the vision of 'education for all'. Inclusive education is the foundation from which learners' stories can promote opportunities for them to discover their full potential and attain an improved sense of wellbeing and self-worth.
To ensure our young people to reach their full potential, students are supported by a team of passionate teaching and non-teaching staff. Students are provided with the opportunity to learn through engagement in a curriculum that supports students to access and participate in learner-centric programs.
Through regular opportunities to engage and communicate openly with each other, Yeronga sustains a culture that is founded on its 4Rs: Rights, Respect, Responsibility, Reputation. As a learning community, we value the contribution of each student and actively engage parents as partners in the learning journey.
As Principal, I will lead our learning community in the pursuit of Quality, Harmony and Sustainability, and encourage all members of this community to tailor educational pathways to support individual students. Yeronga students are assisted to identify and develop future pathways inclusive of traineeships and apprenticeships, tertiary learning, and employment.
I am honoured to lead Yeronga State High School and enable every student to contribute towards their own pathway and be inspired by the values of Quality, Harmony and Sustainability.
