Developing 21st century skills through STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths) education
The future of employment is changing rapidly with many industries requiring a cross disciplinary approach to ensure they are competitive in this era of globalisation. Education plays a crucial role in ensuring that our students have the 21st century skills and digital capabilities to meet the challenges required of a future work force. At Yeronga State High School, STEM is taught in a cross disciplinary approach. Our STEM curriculum focuses on real-world problem solving through project-based and inquiry-based learning.

Advanced Manufacturing Extension Program
Yeronga SHS is one of a small number of Gateway to Industry – Advanced Manufacturing Schools. Through this partnership, students will have the opportunity to visit and work with some of Queensland's leading manufacturers who have adopted Industry 4.0 practices and advanced manufacturing technologies.
Through STEM Academy, students have the opportunity to engage in industry standard CAD and CAM technologies, modelling their designs and preparing model parts for manufacturing using our laser cutters and CNC router.
