Congratulations to Frishta Rezaie in Year 12 for receiving the Creative Generation Excellence Awards in Visual Art. This is the fourth year in a row a Yeronga SHS student has won this prestigious excellence award!
Each year, Queensland state and non-state schools offering senior visual art are invited to submit student artworks into the Creative Generation Excellence Awards in Visual Art.
This year there were 500 submissions from 181 schools. 120 works were shortlisted with 37 Excellence winners state-wide.
The metropolitan regional exhibition was held on Saturday 9 October at Brisbane Institute of Art where Frishta Rezaie was announced as an excellence award winner! A digital exhibition showcasing all eligible submitted works is available online now, however the most exciting part is that Frishta’s work will be exhibited at the 2022 Central Exhibition at the QLD Art Gallery’s GOMA.
